This it is Gandalf, an European common cat, also called Roman cat by the color of its coat: short, atigrado with dark rays that are looked like those of the tiger with the mantle of bottom of brown color. The atigrado cat is the cat par excellence, the unit most characteristic of domestic feline, and in which its wild inheritance is with greater clarity. In addition, its coat is of type agouti, that is to say, that each individual hair has two or three different colors.

The European common cats are descendants of the African and Asian cats, and it was spread by the old Romans in the regions of the Empire and soon one extended almost everywhere.
