The Roman cat, the domestic mini-tiger

This it is Gandalf, an European common cat, also called Roman cat by the color of its coat: short, atigrado with dark rays that are looked like those of the tiger with the mantle of bottom of brown color. The atigrado cat is the cat par excellence, the unit most characteristic of domestic feline, and in which its wild inheritance is with greater clarity. In addition, its coat is of type agouti, that is to say, that each individual hair has two or three different colors.
The European common cats are descendants of the African and Asian cats, and it was spread by the old Romans in the regions of the Empire and soon one extended almost everywhere.
Difference much of my other cat, Morgana, although also is common European (but in black color). In common the European are two morphologic types: the type slim, with thin legs of intermediate length and normal head – Gandalf-; and another more robust type, fornido with great head, short neck and short legs – Morgana-. Also there are intermediate types between and others since they are mixed much to each other.
Its character it varies from an individual to another one, since one is animals with a noticeable individual personality. They are independent, ready, proud, adaptable animals and that get to love themselves much with their master. In the course of their existence, in contact with the man, the European cats have developed a temperament that constitutes its more peculiar characteristic. In order to know the domestic cat truly, it is necessary to raise common cats.
Almost all these atigrados have an M drawn with rays on their eyes, in their front. Apparently for some cultures those cats with the M recorded in their front give good luck to its owners or the people who are them.
Also it counts one Christian legend that the Virgin Maria had a cat that had entertained Jesus when of baby cried and in gratefulness it caressed to him and it put his initial to him in the forehead.
Islamic legend it says that the cat of Mahoma was sleeping above of the sleeve of its shelter and not to wake up it it went without him to the street. When it returned the cat approached to him been thankful and it put his initial to him in the forehead.
So I compensate, I have a cat with the drawn M and a black cat. Although to the best thing it is double luck, because in other cultures the black cat gives luck.
